North Carolina : Tourist's Hot Spots

North Carolina state is like other impressive states of United States those are famous for their numerous hot spots and drag millions of tourists from all around the world. Its scenic beauty, amusement parks, beaches, markets and outdoor activities hang outs are among the major tourist attractions. The state is among the most visited region in the country and maintains tourism services including rural tourism.

Charlotte:
Charlotte was known as a “hornet’s nest of rebellion’ against British rule in the 1770s. It is located in southwestern North Carolina's Piedmont region of rolling hills. The city enjoys a moderate climate enjoys modified by the mountains.

• Mint Museum of Art: It houses an impressive art collection that includes pre Columbian pottery, African art, historic maps and American paintings. Mint museum of Craft & Design also houses in the compound of the museum where major crafts including glass, metal, woodwork and jewellery work can be view.
• Levine Museum of the New South: This is an innovative center to provide excellent look at modern Southern history that covers everything from share cropping to Nascar racing.
• Wright Brothers National Monument: The place is an important landmark in the dunes of Kill Devil Hills on Bodie Island where the Wright Brothers made the first historical flight. The short distance that was covered during the first flight was amazingly marked by the memorial stones inside the monument.
• Cape Hatteras National Seashore: Continuous range of about 70 miles of coastal islands that are included as the nature reserve areas. Natural attractions include local and migratory birds, seabirds, woodlands, dunes and miles of beaches
  

Wilmington:
Along the Cape Fear river, Wilmington city is located that is a little town with major factories, a university, film studios and has a charming appeal with its evidence of a bygone era mixed with modern amenities. It is one of the best laces along the coast as it contains some stately homes lined along cobblestone streets. Its museums and art galleries talk profusely of its rich past.

• Cameron Art Museum: Exhibits American art from 18th century till present and arts of North Carolinian. It is most popular for its collection of prints by Impressionist Mary Cassatt.
• Battleship North Carolina: An impressive tour about the US naval history. The mega ship is a treasure of maritime history with an onboard museum, visits to crew’s quarter, cabins, large collection of written materials, photographs and other memorabilia. 
• Cape Fear Museum of History & Science: Includes a model of Wilmington history and a display of local legend Michael Jordan.
  

Asheville: The city is observed as the beautiful place to chill and spend the vacations. It is surrounded by wooded Blue Ridge Mountains from everywhere where ever you can see the city, covered with clean blue sky. It is often referred to as the Vacation and retirement area.

• Biltmore Estate: With 250 rooms inside, the Biltmore Estate is America’s largest private house. The city’s main tourist attraction was built for the Vanderbilt family as a holiday home. It features an Inn, wonderful gardens, a winery, a farm village, shopping opportunities and exceptional restaurants.

Great Smoky Mountains National park: A giant park known for its beauty and biodiversity, visited largely by around 10 million visitors around the year. It includes the exhibits of discovery of the park, where visitors learn about the ecosystem and biodiversity of the park.

Raleigh:
Raleigh is the capital of North Carolina and home to North Carolina State University. It houses Durham and Chapel Hill and is known as the Research Triangle that lies on the southeastern corner of the Research Triangle. It has some beautiful residential areas, expansive parks, and historic buildings.

• North Carolina Museum of Art: It features an impressive and permanent collection of arts from the Pharohs times to modern times. The collection showcases various arts from American, European, African and Oceanic culture.
• North Carolina Museum of History: Showcases the chronological exhibits including dugout canoe, flags, Civil war photos and Wright Brothers Plane model.
• North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences: It is the largest natural sciences museum that exhibits Willo where the world's only dinosaur with a fossilized heart specimen is kept.
